The Niyodo River is a first-class river also called the miraculous clear stream from having the number one river-water purity in Japan. The river water is an outstanding clear blue, earning it the nickname Niyodo Blue. The new green leaves in spring and the autumn leaves are particularly beautiful, and many visitors come to see them. You can do various activities to enjoy the river, such as SUP/kayaking and canyoning, and you can experience making "tosawashi," a traditional Japanese paper made using the beautiful water.
