Tobe Zoological Park
Tobe Zoological Park is one of the largest zoos in western Japan, having 1,000 animals of some 200 species. The zoo gives visitors a spirit of adventure with a three-dimensional landscape by the panoramic exhibition and an around-the-world journey through the land of animals. In particular, polar bear “Peace,” the first successful case of artificial rearing in Japan, is the favorite of zoo visitors. With a variety of events being held throughout the year, visitors can enjoy the zoological park every time they visit.
